L. B. Luce is a retired engineer and award‑winning technical writer. He brings a love of systems, logic, and clever exploits to his magical‑tech worldbuilding. His adult contemporary fantasy novel, The Grimoire Hack, is the first book in the Tech-Arcana Dichotomy series., where logic meets wonder, and magic is just science we don’t yet understand.
Growing up in the desert, Luce spent monsoon seasons reading SFF novels and imagining magic hidden in everyday places. His stories draw on the rhythms of Tucson life and the warmth of southwestern culture. When not writing, he practices martial arts and spays and neuters stray cats in Casa Grande.
Luce now lives in the Phoenix area, where he continues to expand the Tech-Arcana Dichotomy universe.
